Pastoral Studies

Pastoral Studies

Pastoral Studies is concerned with the theory and practice of Christian ministry and spirituality.

This major is available for the Bachelor of Theology (BTheol).

Theology is concerned with the critical study of Christianity, and is studied by people from a variety of backgrounds. As well as Pastoral Studies, it includes these 2 main areas:

1. Christian Thought & History - deals with the Christian faith and historical development of the Christian Church, and looks at Christian beliefs from historical, philosophical and ethical standpoints.

2. Biblical Studies - explores the Jewish and Christian Scriptures, looking at the origins of the biblical writings and history of their interpretation.
