Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system (both the brain and the peripheral nervous system).
It covers the brain or "neural" component of disciplines such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Neurology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychology and Zoology, and is one of the fastest growing areas in Biology.
This is available as a major for the Bachelor of Science (BSc).

Career opportunities
Neuroscience is for those interested in a neuroscience career.
Most graduates are likely to continue with specialised postgraduate study (e.g. Behavioural Neuroscience, Cybernetics, Neuroanatomy, Neurochemistry, Neuro-embryology, Neuroethology, Neuropharmacology or Neurophysiology) and a research or academic career.
After further training, there are careers in the clinical sciences of Neurology or Psychiatry, and in professional or applied fields such as Bioengineering, Pharmaceuticals and Chiropractic.
