Bonjour!
French students study language, literature, art and culture, and receive tuition from native French speakers in conversation classes.
Courses and study opportunities for all levels from beginners to postgraduate level are offered. Students are encouraged to use the French language whenever possible, both in and outside class.
This major is available for the Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Career opportunities
Graduates work in NZ and overseas in teaching, translation and interpreting, libraries, journalism, radio and television, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and other government departments, and in law, business and administration.
